Huon Regional Care roles

Registered Nurse (RNL1)

The role of the RNL1 is to provide the highest standard of nursing care to residents and service users in accordance with Huon Regional Care’s Vision, Purpose and Values. The RNL1 works with limited guidance within the scope of the role and is regularly required to control the work environment.

Enrolled Nurse (EN)

The role of the EN is to provide the highest standard of nursing care to residents and service users in accordance with Huon Regional Care’s Vision, Purpose and Values. The EN works under the direction and supervision of the RN within the scope of the role.

Extended Care Assistant (ECA)

The role of the ECA is to provide high quality personal care to residents, service users and care recipients under the direction and supervision of the Nurse in charge.

Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant

To assist and support the Leisure and Lifestyle team to ensure meaningful activities are developed and delivered to permanent residents, rural health patients, and respite residents. To assist with the Volunteer Program, including volunteer training and supervision. To liaise with other staff and external stakeholders. To support programs for Huon Regional Care that comply with Huon Regional Care’s Vision, Purpose and Values.

Occupational Therapist (OT)

The role of the OT is to provide the highest standard of Occupational Health Services to consumers in accordance with Huon Regional Care’s Vision, Purpose and Values.

The OT works with limited guidance within the scope of the role, and is regularly required to control the work environment.

Cleaning and/or Laundry Service Assistant

The role of the Cleaning and/or Laundry Service Assistant is to ensure that all cleaning and laundry services are delivered in accordance with the philosophy, practices and policies of Huon Regional Care and the Aged Care Quality Standards 2019.

Cleaning and/or Laundry Service Assistants work within the scope of practice of the position and seek advice and guidance from the Facility Manager.  This position is directly responsible to their immediate manager for all aspects of service delivery under their control.

Catering Assistant / Cook

The role of the Catering Assistant / Cook is to ensure that all food services are delivered in accordance with philosophy, practices and policies of Huon Regional Care and the Aged Care Standards 2019.

Work within the scope of practice of the position and seek advice and guidance from the Kitchen & Catering Manager.  This position is directly responsible to their immediate manager for all aspects of service delivery under their control.

Chef

Ensure that all food services are delivered in accordance with the philosophy, practices and policies of Huon Regional Care and the Aged Care quality Standards 2019. Work within the scope of practice of the position and seek advice and guidance from the Facility Manager as required.  This position is directly responsible to their immediate manager for all aspects of service delivery under their control.

Physiotherapist and other allied health positions

The Physiotherapist will work with residents to restore and maintain independence through mobility, dexterity and general daily living skills; whilst also mentoring and supporting staff in a range of wellbeing programs.

Administrative / Corporate positions

Various positions relating to Administration and Corporate Services. These roles are responsible for carrying out the duties outlined in the relevant duty statements, and from time to time, undertaking any additional tasks appropriate to the grade and skill set.
