Over the past two decades, David has led organisations in Australia and the Middle East. Over his career, he has worked across the non-profit, public, and private sectors in human services, learning and development, industrial relations, leadership development and telecommunications.
His most recent role has been as CEO of Carers Tasmania and of its service arm, Care2Serve. He has held these positions since July 2018. In these roles, some successes have been to advocate for change for family carers, including the creation of the Ministerial Carer Advisory Council and the introduction of the Carer Recognition Act. He led the launch and implementation of the new Australian Government carer Gateway program state-wide, which included the coordination of residential respite across all RACFs for carers of someone over 65yo.
David holds a Master of Business Administration, is a Fellow of the Institute of Managers and Leaders and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. David holds certificates in coaching and psychometric testing.
